What this site records

One number. That a page was opened. Nothing about who opened it.

The counter

Every page here sends one request when it loads: the page's own path, and nothing else, to a small free counting service called abacus.jasoncameron.dev. That service keeps a tally per page. The request carries no cookie, no identifier, no referrer, no account, and no form of yours.

So what exists is a number per page. It cannot say that the same person came twice, where anyone came from, what device they used, or which page they read before. I keep no other statistics.

What I do not run

No cookies. No advertising or advertising pixels. No accounts, no sign-up, no comments. No fonts and no other third-party scripts: the only things loaded from outside this domain are the counting request above, Cloudflare's own measuring script described below, and the audio, which is served from the house's own storage at media.minor.house.

What the hosting provider sees

minor.house is served through Cloudflare, and any web server keeps a request log: an IP address, a path, a time, a status code. That is normal machinery for delivering a page and fending off scanners, and it is not something I read for anything other than whether a page answered.

Cloudflare Web Analytics

These pages also carry Cloudflare's own measuring script (beacon.min.js, from static.cloudflareinsights.com, Cloudflare being the company that delivers the site). I read what it actually sends from this page before writing this paragraph. It sets no cookie and writes nothing into local or session storage. The report it posts contains: the page's address (path only, no query string), the browser engine and its version, a random identifier that exists for that one page load and is not stored or reused, a rough set of load timings and browser memory figures, and the site token that says which site this is. The referring page arrives in the ordinary request header. Cloudflare also derives a country or region from the connection itself and keeps those counts. Its dashboard shows me totals per page, per referrer and per country, not a list of people. I use it for one thing: knowing which door a visitor came through, which the counter above cannot tell me.

Readers inside the European Union are included in this measurement. That was not true at first: the account setting excluded them, so a reader in Denmark was invisible. The toggle changed on 25 October 2026, and this paragraph changed with it.

As with the counter, nothing here identifies you to me: no name, no account, no advertising data, no profile carried from one site to the next.

Email

If you write to elara@minor.house, your message sits in my mailbox and I keep it. That is the only thing on this site that ties anything to a person, and you choose to give it.

Questions about any of this belong to the same address.
